VISION

At Nature Kids Therapy Art Center, we envision a world where children are not just getting by but thriving and celebrated for their unique abilities.

We believe that by using whole brain and body approaches, we can work together to unlock their functional participation in our world and keep their self-esteem intact.

Their special abilities are differences not deficits, and possibly the very keys to unlocking a society that encourages equity and honors diversity.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide an exceptional sensory-friendly art and play space that supports caregivers, autistic and neurodivergent children, and all families seeking creativity, regulation, and connection.

Using foundational, bottom-up, neuro-integrative principles, we design experiences where the brain and body can reconnect through research-backed imaginative art, open-ended play, and nature-inspired environments.

By honoring each nervous system and creating space for authentic expression, we empower families with the knowledge, tools, and community they need to grow.

This approach ensures that both caregivers and children step into daily life feeling connected, confident, supported, and well-equipped to thrive.

VALUES

Nurturing Neurodivergence - We celebrate the spectrum, recognizing that each child is here with unique gifts and abilities that can sometimes pose challenges in today's world. We value these gifts and honor the differences, believing the children inspire us all to be more fully ourselves.

Gentle Partnership with Mother Earth - We honor our world as a living, breathing being essential to our existence. As we restore our relationship with her, all beings will thrive. Our nourishment comes from her, and we celebrate this connection.

Holistic Brain-Based Approach - At Nature Kids Therapy Art Center, we emphasize a brain-based neuro-integrative approach, assessing and building the foundations of the nervous system as the most effective way to help children from the roots.

Encouraging Equity - We support and guide our staff in cultivating an ever-evolving understanding of their intersecting identities, privileges, and lived experiences. At Nature Kids Therapy Art Center, we Western roots and commit to ongoing dialogue and practices that foster equitable sovereignty, diversity, and inclusion.

Power of Creative Play - We embrace creative play as a profound source of expression, resilience, joy, and transformation. Through play, children explore their unique identities, build confidence, and connect with the world around them in meaningful ways. Creative play anchors children in their experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment as they navigate their journey.

NEUROINCLUSIVE CERAMIC STUDIO DIRECTOR

Tobie Albers Miller (she/they/he)

Tobie Albers Miller (she/they/he) was raised by the wild artists, scientists, thinkers, and elders of the Powderhorn shtetl in South Minneapolis. As a Gemini (air sign), Tobie enjoys using clay to communicate because it helps keep them grounded. They started as a little one, making play food for picnics between dinosaurs and Barbies. Tobie then began throwing on the wheel at Powderhorn Park Rec Center studio around 12 years old and has had the opportunity to learn and work with some of the coolest humans in ceramics. They now teach all ages how to develop respectful relationships with clay.

Tobie loves texture and making things that are usually functional with a spiritually infused vibe. They sell their work to Wise Acre Eatery where you can drink a cup of coffee or have a bowl of soup from a homemade ceramic vessel. Also available for purchase at their register and at The Workshop Mpls Lab sales.

FOUNDER

Adrienne Ero-Phillips (she/they) MAOT, OTR/L

Adrienne Ero-Phillips is a multidisciplinary artist, nervous system guide, and occupational therapist who weaves creativity, science, and soul into every space she touches.

Adrienne is a gemini sun (insatiably curious), cancer moon (deep feeler), and scorpio rising (magnetic transformation). Their roots in dance, poetry, and imagination, Adrienne’s work is guided by the belief that creativity is a living force, one that threads the unseen into form and connects us back to each other and the earth.

A practitioner with over a decade of experience supporting autistic and neurodivergent children, Adrienne blends research-backed neuro-integrative principles with a deeply intuitive, playful, and nature-honoring approach. She teaches caregivers to understand the language of the nervous system, offering tools and practices that help children’s brains and bodies organize, regulate, and thrive, without dimming their magic.

Adrienne is the creator Nature Kids Therapy Art Center, a community space that feels like a third place for the soul, a sanctuary where families, children, and children-at-heart can explore movement, clay, color, texture, and imaginative play as pathways to connection and healing. Her work is grounded in equity, creativity, and reverence for the natural world.

Adrienne has supported countless families in shifting from overwhelm and isolation to confidence, clarity, and joy. She is honored to walk beside them and as artist, guide, healer, and fellow human, helping each child feel seen, each caregiver feel empowered, and each family experience themselves as part of something bigger and more interconnected.
