VISION

At Nature Kids Therapy, we envision a world where your child is not just getting by but thriving and celebrated for their unique neurodivergent abilities.

We believe that by using whole brain and body approaches, we can work together to unlock their functional participation in our world and keep their self-esteem intact.

Though their differences can present significant challenges in a neurotypical world, we view their unique abilities as differences not deficits, and possibly the very keys to unlocking a society that encourages equity and honors diversity.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide exceptional occupational therapy and mental health therapy services and education to support you and your autistic or neurodivergent child, ADHD, sensory processing, and/or motor coordination issues.

Using foundational, bottom-up approaches, we help your child's brain and body connect, empowering you with the knowledge to support their growth through research-backed imaginative play and nature-based environments.

This approach ensures that both you and your child can step into daily life feeling confident, supported, and well-equipped to thrive.

VALUES

Nurturing Neurodivergence - We celebrate the spectrum, recognizing that your child is here with unique gifts and abilities that can sometimes pose challenges in today's world. We value these gifts and honor the differences, believing they inspire us all to be more fully ourselves.

Gentle Partnership with Mother Earth - We honor our world as a living, breathing being essential to our existence. As we restore our relationship with her, all beings will thrive. Our nourishment comes from her, and we celebrate this connection.

Holistic Brain-Based Approach - At Nature Kids Therapy, we emphasize a brain-based neuro-integrative approach, assessing and building the foundations of the nervous system as the most effective way to help your child from the roots.

Encouraging Equity - We support and guide our therapists in cultivating an ever-evolving understanding of their intersecting identities, privileges, and lived experiences. At Nature Kids Therapy, we acknowledge occupational therapy's sometimes limited Western roots and commit to ongoing dialogue and practices that foster equitable sovereignty, diversity, and inclusion.

Power of Creative Play - We embrace creative play as a profound source of expression, resilience, joy, and transformation. Through play, children explore their unique identities, build confidence, and connect with the world around them in meaningful ways. Creative play anchors children in their experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment as they navigate their journey.
